One of the many services for the public provided by the Kern County Bar Association is our Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program. If you have a dispute regarding fees paid or fee owed to an attorney in Kern County and would like to file for Fee Arbitration through the KCBA, please click here to read over the forms and information provided on the Fee Arbitration Program page.
Lawyer Referral Service
The Kern County Bar Association maintains a regularly updated list of local attorneys who have volunteered to make their contact information and practice information available to the public. This list is a good starting place for people searching for an attorney to retain. You can search by attorney name or by practice area, so that you can easily find the correct attorney to handle your legal issue. Please click here to see the list of attorneys that may be able to help you. (Please note: this service is currently unavailable. Please check back again soon.)
Kern County Law Day
Every year, the KCBA partners with the Greater Bakersfield Legal Aid and the Kern County Law Library to provide the public with the opportunity to meet with attorneys free of charge. Normally held at the Valley Plaza Mall, Kern County Law Day offers free 15 minute consultations with attorneys in a variety of different practice areas, including criminal, family, bankruptcy, probate and estate planning, and general civil litigation. Our most recent Kern County Law Day took place on May 1, 2012 (click here for the 2012 Law Day Flyer). Keep an eye out for more news about our next Kern County Law Day in 2013!
