T. Mark Smith is a partner at Clifford & Brown. Having joined the firm in 2000, his practice focuses on business litigation and a wide range of areas including land use, healthcare, professional liability and water rights. He has been a member of the board of directors Kern County Bar Association Board for two years. After graduating from UCLA School of Law, he practiced at a national law firm in downtown Los Angeles for seven years. Before graduating from Claremont McKenna College in 1988, he interned for Congressman Bill Thomas. A Bakersfield native, Mark graduated from Highland High School. He has been involved in a many community organizations: Senior Warden at Trinity Anglican Church, an advisor in his sons’ Boy Scout troop, and as an Executive Board member of the Bakersfield Museum of Art. Mark and his wife Juliet have three children. Mark believes an active Bar Association is vital to promote the positive image and visibility of lawyers in Bakersfield.
