Andrea Kohler

Andrea is an Assistant District Attorney with the Kern County District Attorney’s Office. She graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1989. Shortly after being admitted to the Bar in 1989, she moved from a plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Los Angeles to begin working at the DA’s office here in Bakersfield. After nearly 34 years at the office, Andrea has done a variety of assignments including prosecuting homicides, gang crimes and sex crimes.
Andrea loves taking her dogs, Alice and Chris, for long walks and hanging out with her husband Greg (who is also an attorney here in town). She teaches at the local law school, has mentored young women with the mentor program and takes a weekly adult hip-hop class in town. Finally, she really loves Bakersfield but will always be a St. Louis girl at heart. Go Cardinals!
